France handed a full debut to Nabil Fekir of Lyon in their 1-0 win over Portugal, but, the debut was cut short to 14 minutes, as Fekir was taken off injured.

The extent of the injury was later revealed, Fekir will be sidelined for six months after rupturing his knee ligaments.

This season was expected to be his breakthrough season after scoring four goals in four games for Ligue 1 side Lyon, but he will instead have to sit on the sidelines and start his rehabilitation.

Fekir was hoping to make the switch to the Premier League, with a “dream” move to Manchester United being talked about, he had this to say:

Playing for Manchester United one day? why not. It’s a club that makes you dream, but we’re not there yet.

Only time will tell if he can make his move over to the Premier League.
